Moorland first aid respectfully asks that you take note of the following terms and conditions.

  • Full courses or individual places on courses may only be reserved in writing or via email. These will be confirmed on receipt of a booking form and the required deposit 50% of the total fee.
  • Upon accepting a booking a legally binding contract is formed between us and you.
  • Certificates will not be issued until full payment is received and cleared.
  • All invoices are due within 14 days of the date shown on that invoice. If payment is not received within the 14 days charge of 3% will be added for each day over the 14 day agreement.
  • Any charges incurred by us due to funds not clearing will be charged to you.

Cancellation of a course

In the unlikely event of having to cancel a course the following applies.

  • If the course is cancelled by us then a full refund will be made.
  • If the course is cancelled by you the company or an individual a refund on 25% only will be made.
  • If an individual wishes to transfer to another course this must be done within a 28 days and no later than 14 days of the original course, providing a course is being run and there are places on that course.

Travel and accommodation

For group bookings only there will be additional charges for travel and accommodation if required. These charges are as follows.

  • If the venue if over 30 miles from Bovey Tracey [as per Microsoft auto route] a charge of 40 pence per mile will be added.
  • If the venue is over 50 miles from Bovey Tracey [as per Microsoft auto route] suitable overnight accommodation will either be agreed upon between ourselves and you or solely arranged by ourselves.

Insurance

  • Moorland first aid holds comprehensive £5,000,000 public liability insurance and £250,000 of personal indemnity insurance.
  • We cannot accept any liability whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to personal property while you are on a course.

Important facts for students

First aid training involves work in the classroom environment as well as outside when appropriate. Students will be expected to demonstrate a variety of skills which will involve kneeling, twisting, bending and possibly some lifting.

  • If training is outside then the students must be in possession of appropriate clothing.
  • If any student has any difficulties if any areas of learning then please inform the trainer who will do all he/she can to assist in the learning process.
  • Students are expected to be polite, respect everyone, be safe, thoughtful and behave in a manner that a reasonable person would expect. Trainers have the authority and responsibility to ensure that these expectations are complied with and have the right to ask a student to leave a course if it is felt there has been a breach of these expectations. The course fee paid by the student will be forfeited.
  • Students must never be afraid to ask questions so please always ask if you are not clear with anything that is relevant.
