Introduction

The majority if not all sports coaches nowadays are required to have an in date first aid qualification. It is generally accepted that the Emergency First Aid at Work [EFAW] is a suitable qualification.

Moorland First Aid lead trainer/assessor Ian is a sportsman as well as being a physical training instructor. Using his sports knowledge as well as his first aid knowledge Moorland First Aid is able to offer a specific course designed to suit your sport.

The course is based on the EFAW course but with emphasis placed on medical conditions relative to the sport. If necessary extra time can be added to cover anything not covered in the EFAW syllabus.

Assessment

There is no formal assessment. Students will be assessed on a continuous basis and certified competent. Students will be issued with the EFAW certificate which is valid in any place of work.

Cost

The cost of the course is £250 + £10 per candidate up to a maximum of 12, when run at your venue and includes certification and a manual.

Certification is valid for 3 years.
