This is the full Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved First Aid at Work course, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

The FAW certificate permits the holder to be employed as a First Aider in the workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

As with the Emergency First Aid at Work course the FAW course can be adapted with extra emphasis being placed on certain areas which are relevant to a particular environment.

The course is a 3 day course consisting of theory learning first aid skills and putting these skills into realistic scenarios ensuring a full understanding and to build confidence in dealing with an incident.

Assessment

Students are assessed by an independent assessor during the afternoon of day 3 of the course.

Cost

The cost of the three-day course is £900 + £20 per candidate when run at your venue. This is for a group of up to 12 candidates and includes certification and a manual.

It is strongly recommended by HSE that trained staff attend a half-day update every twelve months.

Certification is valid for 3 years.
